Went to make up a few chains last night. Pulled the paper spool out of the box and if fell apart sending 100’ of chain into a pile onto the floor. Try as I might to be careful I had a tangled mess. Trying to untangle in the confined space of the garage was a nightmare. Could not go into the driveway because of thunderstorms and torrential downpour, gave up after 2 hours. Cleared up this morning so everything got drug out in the driveway. Much better. Only solution I could come up with.

I couldn't have picked a better time. The closing is the 26th this month... next week....if the buyer doesn't back out. I think if I waited 1 more month the sale could have been impacted by this Wu Han virus. Definitely look around your home and see if there is anything you would need to fix. That was a nightmare added to packing up to get out. Fix it while you have time, even the stupid stuff, they may try to beat you down over silly stuff.

My house was posted for sale on the internet and 24 hours and 45 minutes later the ink was drying on the contract. 3 offers overnight, all over asking price. Blew my mind.
My problem isn't with the house, it's in pretty decent shape. The problem is I'm getting older and have a few health problems and don't think my wife and I are going to be able to keep this place up much longer. Kinda like to move to a place with a smaller yard and not so many chores, maybe closer to town..

The RZR started growling when I used AWD so I tore the front end apart and pulled the front differential out. Time for new bearings and seals, and as long as it's out I'm putting some beefed up parts in it.View attachment 233448

Good thing to catch it now before riding season starts. We bought a new sxs last fall and I’m chomping at the bit to hit the trails in Wisconsin. Hopefully when they open memorial weekend we can go riding. Last year we found a bear cub that weekend.

I put on about 1200 miles a year riding. I just love getting away from everyone and setting up the camper in the middle of nowhere with good friends for a week or even a weekend

Well, no issues with the house is a good thing, I'm sorry to hear about your health. I hope you are able to move to your next place very smoothly. I'm working on my parents house some on the weekends now for the same reasons you have. My dad isn't able to.

Due to the virus the lender still has not done their part for the buyer for the closing on the house I am trying to sell. The realtor keeps telling me any day now....but, I've heard that for a few days. :(

Maybe we can ride together this summer. I’m just south of the cities. I do however ride mostly in Wisconsin

I am in the center of MN and ride all over the northern part of the state. I have only crossed into Wisconsin a couple times. I have thought about Danbury but just haven't done it yet. There are several places just a couple hours north of the twin cities that are good riding.

My 86 year old friend Bill and I cut a big fir for firewood. It was over a bank and a pain to stand on the frozen slope to tip it. I didnt measure the stump but a 28" bar wouldnt go all the way from one side. We used my Rattler 394, 562 and 357.

Pretty decent day out. Ended up getting most of the remainder of last years leaves taken care of. Noodled up a bunch of (pine?) And moved most of it to the back yard. Fresh sharpened chain even did the rakers and found a nail on the second cut[emoji2955]

Had fairly fresh teeth in my saw blade and was cutting some pine from my friends home place. Not worried about nails knowing the family forever. got into the smaller top logs and plink plink cuss cuss never thought about all the 22 lead from when the 3 boys were heck on sparrows. there was hundreds of them but at least I never had to sharpen the saw

for me, this tree has some "sentimental" backstory to it (sorry for the long post).

it's been down for 6 or 7 years on the farm next to my parents farm (property line is in the woods). Use to be a deer stand, the previous landowners husband had built a huge 4'x8' platform in it. I hunted out of this tree for many many years & killed numerous deer from it.

The new landowner has been there 5 years. He's 26 y/o, real good guy, installed a wood boiler last year. Since he still lets me hunt this property I asked if he wanted me to take care of this tree (now that I have a big enough bar & free time to do it), all he has a 361 with a 20" bar.

Met him out there yesterday after work, looked the tree over, he looked at me & my saw and says "you've gotta be crazy" & laughed. He stood back & was utterly amazed how "easily" (& safely) I got it down & bucked. Luckily he has a 60hp JD loader tractor that made cleaning up & moving rounds a breeze. He was very pleased & appreciative of it.
