Been raining here so trees are heavy. Neighbor calls an hour ago with a big tree that fell across his driveway.
Large oak needs cutting up and he now wants 2 more cut down. Looks like plenty of room to drop them and only about 500 yards from the splitter. He has a tractor so all we need is chainsaws and maybe my trailer.
Free firewood is the beat kind.

Cut a bunch of Walnut and Mulberry to firewood length, and split some with the X-27 … same stuff I took down last year. Hey, they darn Mulberry is completely cut off, and still growing green leaves!

It is also tougher to cut than the Walnut, and tougher to split (more fibers), but the X-27 gets it done!

Good ole Mulberry...man that stuff burns mighty hot!

Came from work, had lunch, then mowed the lawn around the house.


The grass was in some places at the height limit for my walk behind mower not having been mowed for two weeks, every day rain showers kept me from mowing the lawn sooner.
Old faithful is doing great, 6HP 4-stroke carries some decent umph!
I have let the mower spit the grass back onto the lawn, didn't feel like bothering with collecting it.

So much rain here I have had to cut a few times with the grass catcher removed, just too long or too wet to pick it up!

I use it as mulch in my garden.

We often go together.
She's caught a couple of nice sized bass over the past season or two and now is in love with fishing. Amazingly swift learning curve she's demonstrating though.

It's really a WIN-WIN/Godsend and I'm as happy as a lark, because I can splurge on fishing gear without hearing any whining or complaining!!

It felt heavy with a 41" bar and 404 chain, lol. It performed good, a lot of power to hold onto.
