I got a chance to check out the Stihl MSA 161 T chainsaw today. Pretty cool little saw, it only weighs a few pounds. I'm hoping to run it sometime next week.

Keep us posted. I understand our local Sheriff cars are getting these (or similar) so they can clear road debris w/o always having to call the highway dept.

It was yesterday afternoon .Accompanied my lady and two of our female former HS classmates to a local winery to listen a group of musicians . Nearly split a gut laughing at those now grandmothers and remembering the prudes they were in 1966 .You've come a long way baby and I'm just as crazy as I ever was which came as no surprise I'm sure .:beer-toast1:

Fixed a broken brake flag on a MS460 for a local tree guy. Something must have fallen on the saw as the top handle was also pretty bent. I straightened it with my foot as best as I could, and also added a chain brake, (the former one is gone)!

I also noodled some rounds with the Blue Beast and did some splitting with the Hydro, mostly Oak (Red + Black), Beech, Hickory and some Black Locust.

I'm trying to get as much split now as possible, but my pile is getting pretty high, and I have a lot of stacking to do. Wish folks would take it now, but they never do till the almost need it!

So we ran the Stihl MSA 161 T today. This is a demo saw Stihl sent us so we had a pro tree guy run it first then I ran it after. The tree guy liked that it had a replaceable metal bucking spike compared to little plastic nubs some saws have. It also has a metal chain catcher as well. The saw has good chain speed and cut smoothly. I like the fact the battery is well protected compared to the new makita top handle saws. The one thing we all disliked was the orange button you need to press in after you press the operator presence lever to be able to pull the trigger. It's a hidden button that is difficult to press with your thumb when you are using it one handed. I added pics of the annoying button. @MustangMike
I got some turkey poults today and tried turkey eggs for the first time as well. The eggs are huge.

Finished the greenhouse today and got the tomatoe plants in the ground.
The wife started them from seeds about 5 weeks ago. They were taking up the bedroom!

Suppose I need to start on our well next. Shouldn't be too bad. Shallow well about 20 feet deep. Hit water consitantly at about 3-4 feet.

Does she go fishing with you, or do you go without her?

If she goes with, is this a hint to spend some time together? :loveyou:
LOL!
We often go together.
She's caught a couple of nice sized bass over the past season or two and now is in love with fishing. Amazingly swift learning curve she's demonstrating though.

It's really a WIN-WIN/Godsend and I'm as happy as a lark, because I can splurge on fishing gear without hearing any whining or complaining!!;):campeon::banana:

Cut a bunch of Walnut and Mulberry to firewood length, and split some with the X-27 … same stuff I took down last year. Hey, they darn Mulberry is completely cut off, and still growing green leaves!

It is also tougher to cut than the Walnut, and tougher to split (more fibers), but the X-27 gets it done!
