I have two of their 039 kits on my 029s. Been great for about a year now with pretty heavy use. I had originally ordered a farmertec for them and couldn't bring myself to install it from the poor plating job on the jug. That farmertec top end kit eventually ended up in the trashcan I believe...

It's gotta be hit and miss. I put a 272xp FT p/c on mine and it was perfect. As good as oem. I also heard on the other forum about how terrible vostore was. Who knows? It's a crapshoot

Thanks, looked at Vostore, was unable to add it as I think the limit is reached maybe I'll delete something that's not being voted on.

No, I've given them to members after looking them over. I ported a 066 and a 661 for the mold on some that will be on the market soon.

Very, very cool. I for one, think it will be a big hit. Do you plan on doing others in the future? I sure hope so, there are quite a few popular saws out there that would be just ripe for this as I'm sure you well know. Surely if you got around to the 272xp I'd spring for one in a heartbeat as an example or maybe more like a shameless hint.

What saws have you used the Cross performance in? I just recently heard of them. ..

I used one on an 076 Super.
Quality was good for the price and it runs well after I spent a couple hours grinding it to get it closer to OEM specs.
Cylinder port timing just needed 2 or 3* removed from the intake to replicate the OEM 076 super cylinder which I was REALLY impressed with!.
Piston was well finished but average for performance. Needed a lot of grinding to get the piston windows to OEM size.

@Mastermind , do you know if they make their pistons or do they outsource?
The piston in the 076 cross performance kit I got from HLS had the same blue dot on top of it as the Farmertech pistons I got recently from China to use as sanding mandrels.

Here is a comparison of a Stihl OEM 066 piston and a farmertech $6.19 piston which comes with rings, wrist pin and clips
The farmertech piston has slightly wider skirt but as you can see below, the OEM ring pin position and way better windows will always make a stronger running saw if you want performance.

I'm not sure about the piston source. The ones I have here from an 066 kit look really well cast. We need @Gentleman to wade in if he has time.

I'm just helping @Gentleman out when he asks. I have no idea what he might do next. I do think he is heading in the right direction though. Performance parts from the aftermarket should be the next progression in my mind,

I could not agree more. Kudos.
