Does anyone use a metal oiler drive gear? The only time Husqvarna has used an inboard clutch on a 60cc class was with the 362 XP which is based on the 372xp platform but with a short bar mount.
All other 40, 50, 60 cc classes have had an outboard clutch. The main reason is that these classes are like all-round machines, should be suitable/best in pruning, and the outboard clutch has the advantage of having the bar&chain closer to the center of the saw body.
Those who hate outboard clutches, buy another brand.
PS, Husqvarna has used a plastic worm gear since the 254xp around 1992, and has continued to do so ever since.
I've seen some stripped out from trying to pump too thick bar oil in cold weather, but I've never seen one melted.
