I understand WHY they want to tighten things up. But this is a mess. A longer and stronger password should secure things, no? My 7yr old phone has no more room - I cannot download another app. And everything that’s on this phone I need. I’m not deleting other apps, or spending $1000 for a new phone just to get more apps. I love coming to this forum and learning and chiming in. But the future is looking dark...

If you want to. The phone method requires an extra app on the phone to do the code thingy, but it's more secure. The phone method won't help you though, if you lose your phone or its screen doesn't work (like mine right now).

Nope. For chits and giggles, I just closed out the window. Opened up a fresh one, and was asked to log in. Entered Username password and got the lovely 2 step.. again.

That’s the problem though. He thought he was sending it to someone he knew and recognized as a member in good standing. The difference was it went to a different PayPal account
