There are five major file manufacturers (industries) in Europe :

"Made in Switzerland" ( Caution : "Swiss quality" ,"Swiss design","Swiss cut" does not necessarily indicate that the files
are actually made in Switzerland
)
All the files that are made in Switzerland are made by Vallorbe.
Vallorbe brand files ( or the rebranded ones made by Vallorbe )
come in two variations :
Smooth DX cut files .
Mid-aggressive ,most common .
Product S/N :LC1000x-03-xxx
and
Second Cut MDX files .
Quite aggressive,not so common .
Product S/N :LC1000x-02-xxx

"Made in Germany"
All the files that are made in Germany are made by Pferd.
For example ,current Stihl files are rebranded Pferd ones ( Classic).
Pferd round chainsaw files come also in two variations : The Classic line ( orange band on the box ) are the coarser/ more aggressive and the Premium Cut files ( silver/gray band on the box ) are finer /smoother .

"Made in Portugal"
There are two major file industries in
Portugal :

1 ) Bahco-Öberg ( Sandvik )

All rebranded files made in Portugal ,are made by Bahco-Öberg.
A good example of rebranded Bahco -Öberg files is the old
( and obsolete by now ) Oregon files.Very aggressive files.

2 ) Tomé Feteira

Exceptionally high quality files .
Does not rebrand it's chainsaw files, from what I'm aware of .

One more-fifth-round chainsaw file manufacturer is Bellota ,in Spain.

Here in Greece the Bellota files are readily available and quite positive
comments have reached to my attention ,although myself haven't ever used those files.

Bahco-Öberg (left) vs
Stihl /Pferd Classic (right)

Both unused .
Both of the aggressive / coarser type ( second cut )
of chainsaw round files, but nevertheless the Bahco-Öberg
removes more material ,while the Stihl achieves a smoother
cutting edge .They both share about the same service life ,that is one to maybe two chains ( depending on the user ,mainly ) .
