The handle on that 8lb maul broke on my son first trip out. Grain looked good but wasn’t.

Chiselbit’s apprentice broke the handle on the green cyclone too. It had 50/50 grain…

People at work insistently asked me for a Christmas hint for something nice I probably wouldn’t buy myself…OK, borntrager it is. Hat was from a customer from the north.

I am dumbfounded with how well it splits. On a little 28” stick no less.

I keep this unsplittable round around for testing axe hangs. The Borntrager killed it. 27.5° initial angle IIRC and about 17° major overall angle, very close to @Wilhelm ’s Dragon Slayer, hm, imagine that.

What exactly is this? Weight. Kinda wanted to google it. Prolly won’t buy it but damn nice

My wedge in my mail head fell apart the other day beating. Cut a new one out of some mulberry. It wedged in the handle good but after beating the hell out of it it spit the wedge back out.
