If you’re a handle killer then I’m a straight up axehole.
I went to pound a nasty round off the wedge of my splitter and short stroked the hit. I had only 14 cord or so on the Oxhead

Mine had bad grain and broke too. I got east coast lumberjack to make me a nice 36”. Pics in here somewhere.

Fisk just get stuck unless you get the 8lb
I've been using an x27 for years now. Have probably split 30-40 cords with it (mostly oak and madrone, some fir or other) used it to bang wedges, test/cut out rot in trunks, etc. If it's too sharp, it won't split worth a damn. I keep a bit of a blunt edge on mine until it needs a touch up. I keep the 8lb maul handy for seasoned oak or tough/knotty wood; get it separated, then usually finish with the axe.
