The scraper , I was talking about

I quoted the axe you linked first. That's what I was unsure what you were after with the axe link and that's what you quoted back at me with. So I was double confused for a second.

I did follow what you were getting at with the card scrapers. I ordered a couple sets of them. Looks like a nice set. Thanks for the heads up.

Sorry for the confusion...............or maybe it was just me. 😂 Carry on.

I'm

Im into the old hammers...

I need to hang a few more of those heads.
The Plumb on far left is prolly 100 years old or close.
It has the conical wedge.
One on far right is a Douglas, most people that see it automatically say "I love Estwings". Lol

That reminds me, I’ve got an ancient 3lb Plumb Ball Peen I need to hang. Got these today.

Not really a sale in my eyes, when that maul can be had for $40-45 elsewhere on the world wide web.....

I'm old enough to remember when you could buy that maul for $18-20, not that many years ago.
Davidwyby was interested in a 6lbs head , figured I’d throw it up if he was interested, but he’s covered with a bunch,

Kelly Perfect hatchet, factory cross wedging.
I ended up selling it, but always wanted to try it myself but never have.
Anyone ever done it?

Hardcore axe nerds say they should hang without steel/cross wedges.

But then you only have side to side clamp, not front to back.

All the impact and prying when you get stuck is front to back…

I'm gonna have to try it!
May be awhile but I have the PERFECT candidate.

@maulhead the content 😆

can’t throw shade for his prices. A skilled craftsman with equipment is $100plus per hour and I’m sure it takes several hours…not to mention quality. Just too rich for my blood.

…if I was earning my living banging wedges it might be different. I’d have insurance on it haha.

For now I will tweak what I can get cuz I have the equipment too.

I was not dissing his prices at all, he builds very nice axes.

Just more then I can swing right now.
