Heat cycling,taking it easy, using a break in oil or a special break in ratio is ridiculous IMO.
The best way to break a two cycle in is to bring the motor up to temp on the mix and ratio you plan to run and then load the snot out of it.
Ball and roller bearings as found in two strokes do not require break in. The cylinder to piston ring interface does and this doesn't happen without a high load.
If you fart around and don't seat the rings relatively soon the cross hatch peaks wear down/fold over and the rings never seat like they should.

Seems the saws dont need break in like a bike,once the bearings free up they seem to be broke in ,15 tanks or so in my experience.cylinders dont need the heat cycles like water cooled 2 strokes also.

Bikes don't need that crap either. There is basicly no differance in the bearing designs or materials used in making a bike engine vs a saw engine.

Heat cycles are prudominantly in place for work hardening of bearings ............ specifically flat bearings;
like main bearings, connecting rod bearings, and cam bearings
