What I've read on here is all correct , nobody is really doing anything wrong . It's all good and whatever you feel best about how you do your break-in isn't going to hurt your saw .
I do disagree on the notion that you only get one chance to break it in right . The rings , bearings and all moving parts will break in eventually depending on how you use the saw . Generally 10 plus tanks for most saws will do it but some less and some more....it's all good guys !
I will add that letting the saw warm up some before throttling up is definately a good thing to do regardless of if it's new , broke in or well used
