@Red97 can I get an education on how to find dyno numbers for different saws? My search lags. Looking for 60-70cc 2 series vs 3 series huskies. Thanks
Duane started a “numbers and graphs” only page. It was later in the game and not many got posted there. Several pages worth, but not many in the grand scheme

@huskihl i looked a little but the saw models aren’t in the posts so it’s hard to search. I e started using “hashtags” at work. Basically running words together so they can be searched. 272xpdyno Should come up in a search whereas 272xp dyno gets all kinds of random stuff. It would be nice if we could get the forum doing it.

Yeah that thread is mostly just pics of the graphs. Have to zoom in to see which saw

The other thing is that many of the dyno sheets are confidential between the builder and Joe. The percentage of graphs posted compared to number of dyno runs is quite low, maybe less than 5%

Very very few 2 series. Maybe 3 runs but 1 was on the original system. Hard to compare that to the new setup.

What 3 series are you looking for?

@Red97 curious around low rpm lug in my 266s vs. my 2166. IIRC, the 2 series seem like they lug more, but they have a shorter stroke. I know that’s not all there is to it, just curious.

I have a 61 I rebuilt ground up into a 266 with the better meteor full window piston and a BGD. I also have a stock 266. I haven’t run them enough back to back to tell a difference. I plan to build a third into a 272 and have Kevin port it. If it wasn’t so much $ for shipping I’d send them up to be dyno’d.

Some other builds that will see dyno time.
Thats pretty AWESOME Joe, I know there's plenty of old stock oversize pistons out there for some iron bore saws but really a lost art.
Would there be much difficulty in doing that to a clamshell?

I liked, then un'd when I got to clamshell. I'm guessing a blind sleeve would blow if that's what you're thinking. If not I'm subbed so a re-like could easily be a thing.

Like the old Macs and such?

Would just need a holder for the sleeve to help guide it down to the bottom.
