I was just wondering if you ever got around to running a proper stock 7900 on your contraption? According to the wood dyno with broken-in saws the 500i has nothing on it.

If by "proper" you mean the older new in box 7900 that you almost can't find anymore.....

No, not yet.....

I would settle for one with the original 7900 muffler and an OEM cylinder kit. These out of the box saws may or may not show their full potential. I know that after I installed the 7900 kit on my smurf the compression picked up quite a bit after a few tanks compared to the initial run in.

Yeh, break in is a real thing. 3-5% at times

That is why I try to get all new saws. Not many ate going to have a dealer run 10 tanks through a saw before they pick it up.

Trying to show "out of the box" numbers.

Is the dolmar a fair amount heavier? Just asking because I’ve never ran a 7900 dolmar is non existent up here
