That is what makes them such a good saw in Aussie hard woodWow 461 still stronger at lower rpms but evens out at higher rpm with the 7310 just like the stock graph it seems?
Looks like fun side work.Little Friday fun.
Got the dyno all setup to run these 2t bike engines.
Something else to port between saws.

They have a 4:1 reduction built in, I need to adjust the brake to slow the high tq, low rpm.
I was kicking around buying one to oil test on and later practice port hackery on but fellers, because of my known medical problems, suggested the vibs most likely would be bothersome. I guess they will vibrate like crazy at certain RPM. It may have been you in the oil PM that mentioned that. I gotta come up with a rubber mounted option......Little Friday fun.

Does the 4:1 reduction mean that you multiply the result times 4 to get the 1:1 result?Little Friday fun.

Just trying to figure out how to compare this to a comparable chain saw result.
These little motors look expensive.
Just have to set the program accordingly.
With the chain ratio these saws run 2:1 Just to help load sensitivity. No way the little guys could spin 1:1 with 24" of chain and dyno inertia.
The graphs that are printed are all "corrected" as if these were all direct drive.
Just the dyno is spinning less rpm with the bike engine at 10k than it would with a saw at 10k.
2500 vs 5000rpm because of the ratios
The program asks for the ratio to calculate engine power. That is why I share the corrected engine power, as it is as close to crank power as I can get.
The observed tq from the "gearing" would be 2, and 4x what crank tq would be.
The engine kits like on The dyno can be had for less than 200$. As the entire kit to make a full motorized bike.
The fancy one is about 2k$ by the time you get it All set up. Just for the engine and cooling system
Can we get a drum roll?!
Didn't see this reply earlier, that does sound like a fun time, didn't realize it was part of a kit for a bicycle.View attachment 295336
They can get pretty wild too.
Billet case, liquid cooled, stroker crank, case reed....
88ish cc
In a bicycle....
That is a stout saw! Wish I knew about it when I bought the 395xp. Really, I should have just joined this forum before pulling the trigger on any mill saw. It looks like it would fit the Logosol saw carriage as well...
