I'd like to feel that one in wood to see what constant HP and variable torque feel like, compared to the low end of the graph with a curve of constant torque and variable HP. Do you think the clutch starts slipping at 7000rpm? It would be nice to have a crank rpm sensor to compare the chain rpm to to detect slip.

Guess the graph explains a little if you look closely? Torque at max power looks to be around 4.6ft lb on both stock(roughly 7.5hp and 4.5ft lb at 9000rpm) and ported
(9.01hp and 4.6ft lb at roughly 10,400rpm). I wood guess that rpm would be around what they want to hold in the wood. So maybe in the wood the torque curve feels similar but the ported one cuts faster? I think the torque output at max power rpm might be the torque number to look at?

Ported 395 really needs a higher rpm coil to show better on the dyno.

Nice, I usually turn my 395 up to 13.8-14k with a lite 4 stroke for a race or test. 12.8-13k for work milling usually. Didn’t know they put limited coils on certain ones?

The husky does this funny thing where it oils well out the gate without mods, has an adjustable carb, and can keep its own air filter clean lol still the king stihl boy ;)

I never lost a screw out of ANY modern husky. 2260, 372, 395, but enjoy that novelty while it lasts. When the 3 series are faded out and its nothing but 5's with knurled bottom fastener, That nonsense is over

So
Is the DYNO averaging out the runs of same saws? Or is it that some are just stronger than others???
