A lot of guys me included use the tractor supply bar oil cause it’s some of the cheapest. I find nothing oils well with that bar oil in the winter. Too darn thick. Cutting it with a splash or two of good ol diesel works well.

How about the oiler? Now I wasn't expecting it to be like the 395, but the 592 seems a little stingy with a 36" bar? The oil tank was almost totally empty after a tank of fuel.

Wow I got a check that out. It’s got a big oil tank on it. I’ve been running 32 or 28 for now

I used to buy it by the 5 gallon drum, a company makes it about an hour from me. But with a 1 man show cutting and skidding I used about 1 1/2 - 2 gallons a week

When cutting production I would use roughly 8-10 gallons of mix a week and 6 gallons or so of oil. We also didn't have people slashing etc

If I dropped tree's for a tank or two depending on the wood I could limb them and the run skidder and buck to length the rest of the day.

Yep. One of three primary reasons I left the forestry industry was several back issues as well as permanently damaged joints and nerves. When handling a skill saw longer than ten minutes at a time it feels like electricity striking my wrist, and every few months my back plays up and I have trouble walking and bending over without excruciating pain.

I know this is way off topic but do you guys ever have problems with herniated discs doing what you do?

I quit logging and carpentry 2+ years ago for a project manager job. After 6 months I felt better than I had in years, now after 2 1/2 years I feel worse than I ever have. Sitting is far harder on me than physical work.
I think about going back to my old ways of making a living all the time.

Kinda the same deal with me. I got my CDL after my logging injury in 2013 and drove log truck, my health really went to crap. Then did mechanic work for a bit, same deal, lots more pain. Only way for me to feel good is to be active and moving all the time

Nice video Andre. I’m kinda surprised with the trend of new saws having these metal catchers instead of the roller. I was disappointed when my 572 didn’t come with one back in 2019. It should be a standard feature on a “pro saw”. All the older 3 series husky and older 4 series stihl had rollers from the factory. Anyone whose had to touch up a long chain cause it got buggered by being thrown into a metal catcher will understand where I’m coming from. The roller also holds up better than the metal catcher before you have to replace it. At least they give you the option to mount it on the husqvarna. You have to buy new dogs if you want to mount it to a 462 or 500i. I’m guessing there using the metal catchers to save a few bucks. One piece install instead of a multi piece roller. Faster production manufacturing.

Nice video I enjoy working with this saw and watching this saw work it does seem like a workhorse.

I might be wrong on this but I believe the 592 will hang with the 395 like you said once the codes fully cracked and understood. I’ve seen some test the Dino test. I believe it was Dino Joe and it’s if I’m correct I believe he got it up over 8 horsepower on a Dino. If I understood it correctly again when you break down the nitty-gritty‘s. It’s very close if not very similar to 395 low torque high torque when you got a broken finger you got time to look things up.
And I have a 395 and 592 now
And of course my 395 in stock so I’m basing this on stock information and not modified.
Modified may change a lot in it like you said crack into the code.
