OK we have established you can stall/bog any saw. I was just pointing out the obvious in that vid.
That saw in the vid was blubbering doing them bucking cuts maybe it needs more run time? Or has a really fat break in tune? or something wrong with it? who knows.. I'm sure it will be a fine saw we will know more as more people get their hands on them.
Nothing is wrong with the saw, it's new and tight. Plus if you rock the saw you can catch the edge when you rock the saw forward again, and the tooth will bite way too much wood and any saw will stall out almost instantly. The saw sound healthy IMHO, let's wait before we jump any conclusions, doing so is just silly.

Can't wait to get some time on a 592 some day, shame I don't have one here now, I have an Ash that's 5' DBH that needs taken down, took the smaller 32" DBH Ash out the other week with my 395.

Using a 90cc saw to cut a rotten pine tree... o_O I could have cut that tree with a ryobi electric saw with a 12” bar from home depot. Lol

Not everybody has monster oaks laying about the place. I could certainly use a 592 right about now...

Not pushing anything at all . Oleo Mac are owned by husky and the saws he has for hire look very much like the husky . Maybe we get different models out here in nz . Was more pointing up the total cost of ownership is not always what you think it is . I don't have an oleo mac saw and am not likely to get one soon but sounds like dealer backup is fine down here

Oleo Mac and Efco are the same thing.Only difference between them is the color. Both brands are owned by Emak Italy and have nothing to do with Husqvarna. They used to build very good products but now they seem to not care about quality, at least for chainsaws.Anyway, sorry for the off topic.

Sorry I was told that they were owned by husky and yeah your right they're not after some research. My bad .

That's in Pine how much do they pick up broken in? doesn't seem to have much grunt for a 90cc + saw whats up with that.
Stick .404 on that saw same bar would be bogging even worse in that soft pine.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I was wanting to give it the benefit of the doubt for being a little stiff & not broken in but in that video it was bogging down/stalling whenever the guy did anything but feather it through the cut. It's clutch didn't seem to happy either. I have to invision the saw how I'd have it set up with .404 cutting funky hardwood. From those videos it didn't inspire much confidence. Looked to have the torque of a 70cc saw.

How would you stall 3120 in the cut (if the chain is all right)? I assumed that with such strong saw even pushing into the cut should not be a problem...?
(Edit: Talking about normal-sized spruce - not the monsters in your last message :))
I can stall my M/M ported 660 with a 16" B/C with lifting the handle with one finger with dawgs set in dead dry hardwood. And my 660 has a lot of torque for a 90cc saw. It's all relative.

I'm about to buy a new husky and I am really interested in the new 592. It's either gonna be a 395 as I fear they'll dissapear soon meaning there won't be a real 100cc size chassis saw on the market. I'll always be able to get a 592/585 but once the pin is pulled on the 395 it's gone. It would be interesting to see how a broken in 585 runs, usually the non XP offer a nice wide powerband....it's got a standard carb too!

I know must be for views or something? this saw is replacing the 395 and how often do guys use a 395 in small softwoods yeah about never lol

You need to hurry up and get one and test it in some hardwoods at least then we will get a more realistic idea of what the saw is capable of.
