@Spike60
Any rumors of a new 40cc saw? As a farmer, I need a 90cc saw once a year, but use an Echo 2511t every other day in the never ending battle to keep fields trimmed up.

Yeah, same here. The big saws are cool and nice to have handy for those times that you need them. But most of us don't run into big wood that often. That's why for me my old Jonny 920's and 930's mostly handle that role when needed. And, they're just fun saws. :)

I don't know of anything new coming in the 40cc class. IMO, they more than have it covered with the 543XP. Doesn't sell all that good, but has a small and loyal following. Really light and easy to run all day. Not quite a 242XP in the power department, but a nicer saw to live with every day. Very easy to start.

Another option, and it's OK to say I'm nuts, are those cheap 130/135II models. Sell quite a few and they stay out there. As smooth as any current saw. And it's the only entry level saw they have offered going back to the 36/41 up through the 235/240 that I don't absolutely HATE to sell, see, work on, listen to, or cut with. :bash: I wouldn't even stock any of that other crap.

I have a 543xp it's a very good saw. Muffler mod it and pull off the limiters and after 8 to 10 tanks it will run well for a small saw. It starts hot or cold all the time. I run a 16 bar with a .325 chain. Good luck with your choice

Hey I found this on the Internet today.
Five 858 86.0 cc at 2800 I assume it’s low RPM 2800
592 92.7 cc low 2800
5.6 7.6 9600
Weight 5857.5 kg
592 7.4 kg
Saw chain speed seven pin sprocket 133% of max 30.6 m/s
This came out of the manual for the Saw that I found on the Internet I know things can change
Is that right just a little bit over 16 pounds empty

That’s the Internet website I found
Thanks, I got it. They sure pumped up the power from the 390. They went from 6.5 to 7.6
Weight is in the middle of 390 and 661. That's good

I just found another manual and it’s got some English versions on it at the garden website. Talking about chain speed 100.4/30.6
And apparently they’re going to have H 83 chain and 50 gauge 58 gauge and 63 gauge. If the book all rightAnd they talk about 404 gauge from a 24 inch bar to a 36 inch bar

The manual I downloaded was in English.
Weird, I'm not sure how the chain speed increases from a 572 when it has a lower max power speed of 9,600 compared to 9900.
The 592 would be done at 12,800rpm compared to 13200 according to their formula they say they now use with 7 t sprocket.

Yeah it was weird for me too because when I first found this manual it was like the European manual it was only 83 pages . Then I went back later and the manual had English in it and I had like 132 pages due to EPA California etc.

7.6 horsepower & 16 pounds at 93 cc is à la grown up MS 462 specs. Not only a 661 killer, but if it has good torque (not like a grown up MS 462) that saw could dominate the west coast for any sort of big wood cutting.

Now if Cannon would do a 42” Duralite bar...

the demo 592’s have similar power to 661’s iv been told, but have better throttle response

Both? Meaning available with or without AT?

"5.6 7.6 9600" meaning 5.6ps for the 585 and 7.6ps for the 592....both at 9600 rpm? Just trying to understand what I am reading....
