Hot damn that saw sounds nice! It’s one that makes you smile when you dog it through the wood isn’t it. Very strong

It's fun to lean on that saw and see if you can stop it. It really does cut like it's pissed off. Never gets old running it!
There's been a lot of 262s around lately -- several were up for sale on the forum in the last few months it seems.

I picked one up for a friend of mine. It has the KS cylinder and an 87 carb -- changed it out to a 120 before selling to me. The saw being stock the 120 is just fine. It's when the saw is ported that you want to feed it with the 87 -- and as we trust in the good "Doc" Al he's confirmed the 87 feeds a ported 262 nice.

@RI Chevy Jeff we know Al is a Stihl guy at heart, but he makes an exception for 262s!

Also -- Brad Snelling was a Stihl guy exclusively, and once he put together good recipes for 346's and 372s he got into Husky quite a bit! It's funny he runs them all with Stihl bar/chains.

Just gotta ask. Never ran a 262 I have a 272 I just love. I hear more about people wanting a 262. Why no love for the 272? I really like the 272. My go to
I think the 262 is popular because it packs a big punch in a small package. But that’s pure speculation as I’ve never run a 272 and have yet to run a 262...but that’s coming soon:)

Sure looks strong on the specs sheet. I know claimed HP can be subjective, but neck and neck with the 562 if I recall. That's pretty impressive in my mind

Yep the specs look VERY impressive. We'll see how it stacks up against my ported 357, I'll be impressed if it performs anywhere near that level.
