262 I am trading with Dan for has a Mahle cylinder. I'm planning to replace the crank bearings, seals, etc just because she's an older saw. No mods or porting initially for me either. I do plan to time the cylinder and see where it is though. These 262 really have my attention and I can't wait to get mine!

Dan: that 262 in the vid you posted on the previous page looks great!

I have to admit..... I am really intrigued by this 262XP saw.
Sounds like it would make a great worksaw. Beefy, strong, overbuilt.
242, 254, 262 and 288 is where Husky did it all right, those models can't be compared against the junk Husky build later.

The 262 was the saw that got me into this racket. I'm a Stihl man at heart but I can appreciate a well built, running saw. I've got enough parts to build 3 or 4 saws from the ground up. And nobody is getting ahold of my 87's!! Lol. However, that being said, you've got to run a MOFO 262. Holy Hell....
