I am a production cutter when not running equipment on the wet coast where square is used, you can file a round on a 105 driver on a stump in steep as fast as we can swap one? Here square chain is cheaper then round even by the roll, it’s faster, smoother, and we can run a larger bar on a smaller saw. I will say where ever you are the hay day of hand falling is coming to an end everywhere other then a few draws maybe that involves a jack or two. To me an arborist gets lumped into the casual user, I will say there’s some that are ex cutters and they all still use square daily.
