Joe, did you leave the upper transfers alone, or did you raise them a bit? Looks great btw!

That looks pretty strong!View attachment 361847
Found a wee bit more. About as I expected, the fingers seem to add a "hit" up top. But should make a dandy 60cc firewooder.

Don't you mean 70cc? LolView attachment 361847

Make firewood faster for sure!

That’s a huge improvement! The torque curve is especially impressive.
I suffered a major setback on mine. I set it up for port work last night. Stock numbers are 76/98/112. I doubt I can drop those transfers enough. Very unhappy with the Hyway jug.
Hmmm.....
What piston/setup did you use?
064 piston. 0.040” out of the band and 0.080” off the crown put me at .025” with 2 gaskets. If I keep going with this jug I’ll take more out of the band and try a 038 magnum piston.
It has other problems though. The uppers have a lousy exit angle and the plating is flaky AF.
I’m not happy with my workmanship either. I went too fast.
Just curious, why do you think the 038 mag piston is the best?Seems the 038 piston is the way to go with these. I would happily shave another .020 off the piston starting over on this one.
I feel ya. Mine is rather rough around the edges and piles of "modified" junk left in the wake... trying to stay focused and making projects like these happen I tend to run through lots of parts trying to find the "just right" pieces.
I have had the best luck with the bottom of the barrel 20$ eBay white box kits.

I see what you mean.About the shortest pin to crown height with Windows. And keeping ok skirt width. I believe the 046 is the same height as the 38
I took .060 from the band and .010 off the piston and still had to run a gasket. Dolmar 7900 piston may save some machine work too bit rather limited skirt width. These shorter strokes need to be able to have wide ports.
I see what you mean.
460 piston has coated skirts, and 038 is bare.View attachment 361906View attachment 361907
Here is a look at an OEM 272 jug vs. a meteor:
The OEM transfers blow much harder back toward the intake than the meteor. I will probably mock mine up with the meteor first and then modify & use the OEM jug.View attachment 361910View attachment 361911View attachment 361912View attachment 361913
