Methanol is what precedes ethanol in the distillation process. I'm sure it will take the same toll on crank seals, fuel lines and carb diaphragms...maybe even more as it is stronger.
But it's so much fun to run. 13k in the wood and over 17k out of wood. Got to get it tuned in better. Got 4 more carbs to try it with.

How would strapping a micro oxygen tank on for a supplemental boost work? Pure oxy would sure add quite a pop to it. Maybe so much that you'd need a 2mm squish.

Back in the day my grandfather use to have pure oxygen bottle tanks in the back of the dirt car for circle track racing and there was a hose that ran up to the carburetor and when they were coming out of the turn he would press full throttle and it would start feeding pure oxygen into the carburetor then when he let off the throttle it would shut off. He said it made a real big difference in the races when you had that. Then others started catching up on the idea then the track banned it. He raced dirt cars.

I'm trying to decide between a 395xp and a 661. Not even sure why I'm considering a husky I've only run Stihl since I was big enough to tote a saw around. Maybe you husky fans are wearing me down. Or maybe it's those mesmerizing mmws 395xp's. I might need some help with this lol.

I'm gonna throw this out there.
If I actual did any real work and really NEEDED a saw that big for actual work.
Of all the saws I have had in my hands for sheer F'in joy in cutting big wood.....hands down.......

Redfin MS661

I have run more than a dozen 661s from at least 7 builders and this saw isn't even on the same plane of existence.
I prefer one of my beloved 064s (Peanut or Ugly Betty) or the Beast (MM 084) for just goldarnnit goofin around cutting for fun, but.....that 661 was mean and sweet and smooth and well...

Pardon my ignorance... What is a 'Redfin' 661? A particular builder or specific version of the 661?
