The 075/076 is a cinderblock compared to a 2100: I know you know.

So much so that mine went down the road, as did an 880, after EmuLegs worked over my 660.

I just wasn't impressed.
I've ran some impressive 88s. Only thing they're really good for is a big mill or racing. I'd hate to carry one through the woods long. I tried using a 3120 bucking some big wood and give up after one log.

It depends if u want a more modern saw or vintage mag. I only have $350 into my P-61. So for the occasional big job it's hard to beat. Newer stuff may be faster but it's also much more money. The Pioneer was the best way for me to get a "big" saw and it still puts a smile on my face.

I've got the same opinion. My 111s gets used so rarely that I can't justify a newer saw. It's very satisfying to pile up the chips with those old slower revving torque monsters with a 42"+ bar as well.

If it will help save your life/wife, I think you could get by quite nicely with a 288xp. I know it's not the 100cc monster that dreams are made of, but they do seem to cut pretty well.

+1. got bigger and smaller. one o my favs.

I have a question about which 6 cube is the strongest. The saws I am curious about are the 2100 Husky, BP655, Solo 603, and the OlyMac 999. In what order might they be placed?
Good question, Don. I wonder if someone owns all four for comparison? Maybe Uncle Lee @Lee H ?
I know @Four Paws has at least one 999, and I'm pretty sure @Rudedog has a 603, the other two saws are owned by many.

I've owned 3 of the 4 but all were in ported form. The 999 could really pull a long bar but the 2100 has the best usable power and is much more friendly to run. The 999 is a tank!

I do own all four but the 603 is NOS and never seen gas. It will stay that way.
The 999 i have is the Olympyk 999F @ 103cc's but i have never run it in wood
yet. My Husky 2100 is about the strongest 100cc saw i have. Next would be the
Poulan 655BP but for torque the Sachs Dolmar 153 has some grunt.

I may let a 603 go if you are interested.
