David so far I only deleted the gasket , smoothed the bottom transfer entrances in , MM. Im planning on going back in and upping the transfers and strato on the piston windows , and widening the exhaust

For me it's a 562, but don't forget about the 362xp special. Low top, small bar mount. Add a 372 jug and you've got a 70cc with a small mount bar.

I liked my ported 362c but it doesnt have the nasty attitude the 562 does imo

Mine had a nasty attitude, too... If I set it down it would die, it had a nasty stumble between cuts, and it was a pain in the ass to start.

Stock 65cc to see if it could pull a 3/8 8T and very aggressive chain I made for a 3120.

No muffler mods or anything, stock as can be.

Yeah, the vintage stuff still out there can be pretty good too! Stihl 041 AV&FB, McCulloch Pro 10-10 & Pro Mac 55 and the Homelite Super XL were/are great blasts from the past and still a kick to run. Muffler mods not required!

I like the 357 and the 361, but in stock form, the 357 is too weak IMHO. For cons, I hear it's amazing once ported and I'll LOVE to find a good ported one.

But in which world is the 555 better than a 560 or a 2260? Except if you want absolutely a full orange saw, it's just the same saw with less balls...
