It also happens on YouTube there are videos of new 2016 stock with most recent version that will not start when hot. I just had one come back to the shop guy stating it will not start after using. I get to play with it Monday to see if it happens to me as well.

Hasn't that issue been fully resolved since they went with the el48? I have never had a starting problem with this saw. That includes several hot starts this summer in 90° heat.

As far as I'm aware yes, along with the "new" hot start procedure.. Simply set the fast idle like you would after it pops on full choke. Our 550xp at work re-fires reliably as anything when setting fast idle on hot re-starts.
