To me a 394 on average is the strongest 90cc with any bar really,661 will get it with a shorter bar but get over 36" it just gets stronger.
A 395 is right there with it but I prefer the way a 394 runs over it.
I like the feel of a dual transfer saw.
Only bad thing is cylinders are getting scarce and they love compression and that will eventually beat it apart.
661 will be right on it power wise but with 175lb of compression to 220lb on the husky but the 394 sounds better and feels evil.

I'm a big 394/395 fan. Powerful and tough saws. The husky 2100 is a cool saw I have one but overall I think the 394/395 is a better saw. If I get another stihl it will be a 661 there cool saws too

The 661 is a terrific saw,it will run with the big husky's or close enough you can't feel the difference and they never need tuned

If you want to run a 36" as fast as possible then the a 394 would be my first choice but to me your splitting hairs on the difference between it and a 661.
