I have a 353, it's cold blooded too. Leave it on fast idle for 15 seconds or so, then it's fine. I have no hot start issues, one pull. Great little saws. And a 346XP top end is a direct swap
Tried it again today again while cutting black locust and I still have the "let it warm up" issue, but I can live with that. The warm start problem appears to be going away. I'd like to have some more carb adjustment freedom, but the plastic limiters are in the way. Heck, maybe it will repair itself.

Regardless, it's a great saw and the only one I have found that can beat a Stihl 028 Super and do it while weighing a pound less. I'm running an 18" bar with .325 pitch chain -- same as the 028.

I remarked to my buddy, "Ken, this saw cuts too fast. It's my only major complaint." He laughed and bought me a Bud Light. He also runs a Husky 353.

I took my newly built hybrid out and helped a buddy cut up some ash. Only got to run one tank of fuel through it. (First tank full since being built) I'm impressed at how well it worked. Now I know why guys like the hybrids. I can't stop smilingView attachment 16079View attachment 16080
Looks like quite a handful! See you have "the handle" on it. Compression?
Nice hybrid sticker!

Couple of those fookers I had to cut in 6. Wet and heavy as heck. My parents are going to be surprised when they come home from vaca to a nice mound of firewood!
I cut several six-bangers awhile back and split them today. In my book, that's the only way to go when making firewood from huge rounds. First cut down the middle (this making two half moons) and then make two more cuts on each half. It works for me.

You get six chunks that you can then load onto the truck or trailer and then usually handle for splitting with the splitter left horizontally.

You mowed cowshit today?
LMAO. Close, moved them off that pasture on to fresh grass. Then mowed the trash that they wouldn't eat. Knocks back the competition for the regrowth of what they will eat. I was looking at that pic thinking if that mower had a crimper hitch I could drag a spike tooth and break up cow patties.

My BIL was using his echo cs 670.

I used my Husky 353 last Friday for a tank. The wood I cut with that one tank almost filled my truck. These saws have amazing fuel economy.

Hard to beat a Husky 353. I wish they still were available new. I'll never sell mine.
