As a rule normally any modifications to a 10-10 are not practiced and certainly not an over bore . However anything could be possible I suppose .

An iron bore 10-10 is neither rare or expensive as a normal rule .Don't be swayed by forum or E-Bay prices on these things . I only have a few bucks in one of those models and it was a packaged deal of about 50 pounds of Mac stuff the shipping cost me more than the product and it was only about 50 miles away .The rest of the 5 or 6 were all freebies including one of the last ever produced that looks nearly brand new .

Has anyone here had any experience (s) with a Power Mac 6?I've got 2 of 'em here that I tinkered with 3 1/2 yrs.ago when I was first starting out.I sent for a nmew MDC kit. Those little buggers have intimidated the hell out of me for yrs.now.Of course the HL carbs used to at one point too,Lol.They both had spark & fired on a prime when I got them. They've been sitting in my living room all this time,Lol.

Yes.

I think the aluminum used for the MDC carburetors must have been some highly active alloy as I have had many problems getting them to work correctly. I generally replace the check valve a routine part of service on those.

The other issue that can be difficult to deal with is the fuel "line" connection to the carburetor. There is a rubber fuel line fitting that presses through the tank exposing a short nipple on the side of the tank next to the carburetor. That nipple must engage the extended fuel inlet on the carburetor and form a leak proof seal. On older saws, particularly if they have been sitting empty, seem to dry out and shrink cause the fitting to leak.

I have had some success putting a couple of o-rings (007?) over the nipple before assembling the tank to the saw. It seems to help stretch it out and makes a tight seal when everything is assembled.

Working on the starter can be a bit of a challenge as the mechanism is buried down in there as you can see in the first photo.

I have also had some problems with the oil pick up hose leaking where it passes through the oil tank, since it allows some air gap, the pump won't pull oil from the tank. I had success with an o-ring there as well but I don't remember the size on that one.

I got my PM55 yesterday. It seems to be in fairly good shape. The only thing missing were the bar plates, but I went through the saw rather quickly yesterday as I was pressed for time.Hopefully I'll have it running today.

The PM55 is a runner! I needed to do a little work on it before I even could start the saw.The plug that was in it was the wrong one,so I put a new plug in it,the correct one.The oiler would only work intermittently,so I had to drain the oil out & pop the cover off the tank only to find the screen completely blocked with dirt, sawdust,& chips.Once that was cleaned & put back together it oiled great. That was by far the worst oil screen I've ever seen.I did put some fuel in it & within 8-10 pulls it fired right up,but loud as all hell. The PO must've though he was doing the saw a favor by taking the screen & cover off the muffler,it's like there's no muffler on it at all. Also,no boot for the adjusting needles

Am trying to compile some 125cc mac info on port timing. If you have a block that’s unassembled pm me or let me know on here. I have wheeled a few 125c’s cp125 and 101a, 101aa 101b, but more info would be great! And maybe get an average

I've got a couple macs I'd like to move if anyone's interested. I've got a real clean and good running pm 55 and I've also got a pm 700 that I'm working a bug out of. Toying with the idea of letting go of a 2-10 but I'm leaning towards keeping it. It's a super handy little saw to have! If anyone's interested let me know. Ill probably put em up on the for sale thread in a day or so if no one here is interested. Along with some Husky saws and parts.
