I tackled another PM510 this week. A fine runner now and will go to the new shop with a "For Sale" sign on it. The Roper will just go to the display end of the museum.

I had an opportunity to use my SP125 today bucking up these large stems from a dead ash tree.

Looks like fun Mark.

I have a 1010A that dad gave me for parts. Its actually got decent compression. No spark. Gonna clean up the points and see if I can get some fire. Might be a runner.
Will need one of the curved air filters if it turns out ok. Too hot and too busy to tackle right now.

I know where one of those Ropers is. Sitting outside in a pile of plastic garbage. Same pile I got the 7-10A from.
I need to go visit. That needs to be rescued before its totally lost.

Those old Ropers had some grunt for no larger than they were .My dad had two he managed t o break the crankshafts on .Built up a third one which my younger brother has now . I have no idea what the old man did to them but he could crank some power out of a chainsaw . So with that evidently it's family tradition .:aplastao:

So it’s a gear drive? Thought it was a 1-71 maybe after looking some. Didn’t look like the bar was as close to the center of saw like my 1-61 is
