Okay, i think cleaned transfers on the "seized" one, i think this jug has some potential, only has 1 deep scrath (red circled), other "scratches" cant be felt by hand.
It even had factory hatch marks.
Piston from another one fits really nice, never seen such a nice fit, can it be too tight?

Id say that it will run for quite some time.

But the other one, think ill just try to free rings and sand down seized piston and put in toasted jug, make it running and call it a day (shelf piece) (for now).

I have the latest batch of 10 Series full wrap handles for the rigid mount saws available now. These are made to work with both RH and LH start saws, on models after the 7-10 the clutch cover will need some modifications to clear at the bottom.

To provide clearance for the bottom of the handle I cut a notch in this long clutch cover. Once I fit it up I realize in really only needed a bit off the edge to clear as shown in the second photo below.

Here is a closer look.

The short covers with or without the brake need more relieved to clear.

This is the service bulletin that came with the factory issued full wrap showing the clutch cover modifications.

On the RH start saws and early versions of the LH start 10 Series the clutch cover had sufficient clearance for the bottom of the wrap handle.

Here are some photos of the full wrap handle installed on a PM 700, this fellow added some tape for a bit of cushion.

I also have a good supply of the ones that only fit the RH start saws, these are a bit close on the flywheel side but I can fit my paw in there.

Here is a photo of one of older steel handles that Mark had made up...or at least I think that was what Steve mentioned to me. Steve and I have done a lot of haggling of Macs from Missouri to Kentucky and vice versa.

Had a line on a super 797 for $50 today. Guy said I had first shot, then ghosted me. Post is deleted now. Figure someone probably offered him more, I never had the chance. I hope someone here or another enthusiast got it and it doesnt end up on Ebay for a quick buck.

It happens to everyone, sometimes they cave to someone that’s closer or more money! It’s happened to me a dozen times, and a couple times I was the first one there

Next time try dangling a carrot as in the offer of some extra $$ if it is in better condition then stated. A 797 for $50 gives you a bunch of wiggle room and still end up with a cheap saw

I now have some steel handles made up for the SP105/125 saws.

They are heavy compare to the originals but you may not notice with a long bar hanging on the saw.

I'm finally getting some time to look at the non-running saws that I picked up the other day. I am needing some service manuals that cover the mac 130, mac 160s. and pro mac 510. Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
nbb_ aka. Ken
