I did enjoy, highlighting the text, then using the translator button instead of the cut/copy/paste option.

I chuckled to my self..

I stihl can’t find find the love of €10 each, Tim Ard (YouTube vid) said in one of his latest vids the only file he got wore out and half the teef are left on the chain he got from stihl..

I recently made some HEXA chain to try out. I used a 3 corner file in a grandberg jig. I was running it on a worked 661 with a 36” bar. Full skip chain. I mostly used it for falling 50”-70” pine and fir trees. I have to say I could definitely tell the difference between my round ground chain. Cleaning up little Dutchman’s was super easy like square ground chain. From what I can tell the angles are pretty dam similar to stihl HEXA stock chain. I will be continuing the testing on this. Has anyone else made there own HEXA chain?

That's pretty snazzy, but I wonder if you angle your corner closer to the top plate if it wouldn't work even better for you?

Very good idea. Just 3 corner file, look like 5 corner, can you show the file and some number so i can find one.

What's nice is it files the gullet out at the same time, other than that I don't think there's a big advantage.
You cab use a grinder with the regular wheel and cut the side plate deeper, then use a goofy file.

A while back I bought a 288 from a logger and noticed the chain cutters had a profile very similar to the hexa.
I inquired and he told me he had been "square filing" his chains like that for years and they cut quite well, showed me a double bit file that he was using.
He was somewhat intrigued when I showed him what actual square filed was, had never actually seen it before and was very interested in trying it.
So you bought a 288 from the iron pony, he had a video showing how he "square filed", looked just like this. Maybe he can sue Stihl :pancarta:. And all you guys were dogging on him:icon_popcorn:.
