Taking on the painful task of cutting back this white/hawthorn.
I am about 2/3rds done and I am all nervous & angry from all the thorn punctures.
The heat and bugs don't help either.
I am going to finish this today, no excuses!

At this point I just wanna douse the hedge in gasoline, light it & watch it burn.

Use diesel fuel mixed with used motor oil. It burns longer.

What's up with the propane tank? Are you scorching the wood to bring out the grain or is that stained?

It burns the boards like that I don't know what the climate is like, but a darker façade also heats up more / Alaska doesn't have much heat

The porch is on 4x4 posts. But the cabin is on 6x6 posts driven several feet in to the ground. Its pretty solid. I built it just high enough off the ground to get my flatbed trailer under it. If/when she moves out I'll probably sell it.

Yeppers. I burned/charred it. No stain just a clear coat sealer.

Cleaned up this Mall GP in preparation for adding it to the display. The design of these saws is very straightforward, everything makes perfect sense.







Unfortunately the coil is shot so I won't get to/have to make it a runner.

I have one more very similar Remington model to go through, maybe I will end up with a decent coil and the chance to hear one run yet.

Went on a Sunday walk with the pup, we didn't last long it being 30°C at 10AM.




But we brought some healthy food home, so it was worth it.

Loaded up some dirt into my little red wagon.


Three loads in the front of the house filled in this hole quite nicely. I’m going to top it off with some gravel and make more parking/something space.


4 more loads dumped beside the house to start the patio project Mama Bear has been after me to start on for 2yrs now. I guess it was time lol

@stretch5881 The porch shades the house fairly well and there are trees just out of the pictures view on the side of the house that start to shade the house after 2ish in the afternoon. We built a SIP home to take some of the extremes out but even at that it rarely gets above 90F here (central MN) but often gets below -20F so keeping heat out isn’t a major concern.

Mama Bear has this “master plan” for what she wants around the house and I get to drive my big kid sandbox toys either way so I just roll with it lol.
