Last night while I was mowing my little brother let my string trimmer (2620) roll into a lagoon while idling. I pressure washed it and cleaned the water off the plug and air filter and it runs again! That trimmer's been through a lot--been driven over, had a tank of straight gas run through it and heat seized, etc.
Must be a Stihl😀

It wasn’t built properly. The walls were on top of the basement floor. All the treated wood and plywood were in great shape
Many years ago folks here saved old houses and put new foundations under them. Now sadly they are practice for the volunteer fire department. It is sickening to see it happen. In the 6 miles of highway to the bluff I have seen 9 homes burned 4 in one mile alone.

My old farmhouse was missing an entire cellar wall, maybe 15-20 feet. I dont recall exactly. I jacked the thing up with old screw jacks and laid in cinderblock. When I asked the backhoe operator helping me excavate he suggested $10 of gasoline and a match to solve my problem. I did not take his advice and I now live in a very comfortable and inexpensive old farmhouse on a hill.
That wall may be the only truly plumb wall in the place, though.

Impeller in the comfort air bed pump came loose from the shaft and ground of some of the vanes. Some milk jug plastic and JB weld and we're back in business... cleaned it up with the rotary grinder and made sure there was no interference in the housing.

hubers is good chit....i usuall put my boots in the oven on zero heat setting for 10 minutes and then rub that on them and they soak it up like a sponge. three rounds of that keeps them good for six to eight months of rain then repeat

Got a set of Wesco's from @Semotony today and slathered a can of Huberd's shoe grease on them, I'll let them soak up the sun tomorrow and also soak up all that nice gooey grease.

I like your choice in boots. Wescos were the only boot without Gore-Tex that could keep my feet halfway dry in the winter and, maybe not those, but at least the Jobmaster was lighter and more nimber than a pair of Smokejumpers or Nicks.

Taking on the painful task of cutting back this white/hawthorn.
I am about 2/3rds done and I am all nervous & angry from all the thorn punctures.
The heat and bugs don't help either.
I am going to finish this today, no excuses!

At this point I just wanna douse the hedge in gasoline, light it & watch it burn.

AC wall socket power rules!
Battery power would never have made it through this torture.
Still need to collect all that crap, the ducks don't know better and already walk over it!

For evey couple dozen thorn punctures I went deeper into the Hawthorn old growth.
I even utilized my little Makita and depleted a whole battery charge.

I am going to be sick tonight/tomorrow!
Not a single cloud.
