I do this with all oils except engine oil. I do not want any acids, contaminants, soot, water, fuel and such in my saws.

20+ years and no problem.

Nice shelf design 👍👍👍
I do it with all oil and haven’t had oil related issues with saws either. I’ll usually mix it with something tackier before dumping it in a saw. I generate around 400gal of used oil a year on the farm and can no where near use that much in my saws 😂

Thanks for the kinds works about the lube station. It came together nicely. Bulk tubs are empty here but get filled with 15w40 and antifreeze. There is also a big oil pan that lives under the shelf system that I drain tractors and semis into. When full it gets drained into an IBC tote.

Got most of the prep work done for milling the logs I bucked in the neighbor's yard (it was their tree that fell on our house) yesterday:

Got one log finished today...couldn't get at it until later in the afternoon. My wife does not see any value in me playing with my saws:

Carried it into the yard, but ran out of daylight. Hopefully I can find time to stick the pieces tomorrow or the next day:

We hired a climber to come cut trees around the structures and fences around the house. I rented a 12” chipper for all the brush so we spent the weekend chipping and bucking up trees. I wish I could afford a chipper, holly chit they are awesome! I used my FKWS 365sp, my ported 359, and my LNS ported 390xp this weekend and all ran awesome! I have a lot of sharpening to do tomorrow, rocks and dirt are not my friend.

I picked up a Stihl 090 a while back that came with the OEM parts, but is currently sporting aftermarket parts. I had a pine log that I needed to buck up for milling, so I was hoping to give it a try. Had a 48" hardnose bar with 1/2" semi-chisel chain. Fired up fine when I poured fuel into the carb, but won't run on its own. I might clean the carb and try again, but I went ahead and did the job with my 076:

just saw this. Did you get it running? Should run with a little tune. I had it idling nicely.

I haven't messed with it yet apart from getting it set up, sharpening the chain, and getting it to pop off with a little fuel. I still have a bunch of wood from the hurricane that I want to get milled as soon as possible, so I spend most of my free time sharpening.

I should finish up the big pine this weekend, and then mess with the 090 some so I can try it out on a big oak that came down in the woods.

I plan on putting all of those nice OEM parts back into her, but I definitely want to run her before I do!

Edit: I just took delivery on some 7/8 aluminum tubing and a tubing bender so I can have a go at making a full-wrap handle. It likely will wind up being a pile of scrap aluminum, but I figure it's worth a try.

Went out, broke the splitter on the first cycle, got lucky and found some 3/16 files in the garage, stuck my truck on a stump before the first cut. No service, no one around. I ended up with three loads before 3 or it worked out. My dog thinks I’m idiot I bet.

The ohio salt has eaten my silverado's wheels to the point they were all losing 5-10psi a day from corrosion. Got tired of filling them up every other day so today was break down, wire wheeling and copious amounts of bead sealer day. The manual tire changer rig works pretty well for what i do. Bolt it down, do my work and put it back in the shed till i need it again

Played a game of “how fast do I need to go to get up hills VS how slow do I need to go to not go in the ditch” today with the bald tired minivan with no ABS. I put around 100 miles on backroads today in this sorry rig. At times it was playing snowplow.
