I am not sure why folks are having to restart fires in their boilers. Under ideal conditions I start one fire in the fall and that is it. Of course it is never ideal and I have to restart it once or twice.

In my case…
With storage I don’t have to have a fire all day. 6 hours today wide open no smoke.
Never have to clean the chimney

Many years ago there was a guy on "the other site" that built his own boiler and flywheel splitter. I often wonder how he made out. I believe he went by django.

How well does you tensioner work? Does the screw that holds the bar plate on fit with the bar? I'd go full skip over 24" for better chip clearance & feeding and faster sharpening.
