Yesterday I picked up some free "defective" high-end jacks from the recycling, and today I was able to examine them. Out of 4 3.5 ton floor jacks 3 work fine and one needs a handle and possibly a new pump piston, and the 22 ton air-over-hydraulic big rig jack only needs a wheel straightened/replaced. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy right now!

Where did you buy that grinder, I see it sharpens right and left
in the same direction, as opposed to a lot of sharpeners that sharpen
one cutter from on direction and the other from the opposite direction.
Yes, the grinders vise swivels left and right and the cutters are always ground from the outside in.

I got this one off German eBay, mildly used, with just one wheel.
They can be had new with two or three wheels (I am not 100% certain) for about 300€, I think I have even seen an ad listing it under 300.

Do you like the grinder, have you a ling to buy one, is the arm that holds
the chain stop / locater plastic or an alloy.
I was looking at buying the Stihl USG grinder, but it does not allow for sharpening
all the cutters from the outside in.
Thank's Wilhelm.

had an older fellow call me today wanting to sell his 880 with 36" b&c, says its a 2019 model, always ran canned (store bought) fuel, used a handful of times & says its too much saw for him. I'm gonna go check it out Sunday and possibly adopt it. he's asking $1500 for it.

About a month ago I had a guy come into work on a Friday at closing time looking for a place to dump debris from a lot clearing job. I told him for $75.00 a load I had a spot and he could dump all he wanted next to the burn pile.

He brought out 4 loads and I picked the bigger sycamores out and milled up about 2/3 of the logs this afternoon. Normally I would not mess with logs this small but I have no sycamore.

I see some branches with persimmons, I will need to dig that log out as well.

and by clean, I mean clean. almost feel like I took the guys 1st born, this thing is immaculate. Max-Flow & WCS 3 pt dogs should be here tomorrow, I may or may not have ordered them ahead of time lol.

I haven't checked squish yet, may get a base gasket delete. For a muffler mod I think I'm gonna add a deflector on the FW side of the front cover, modify the weird "baffle" tube, open up the factory outlet & do a single barrel pipe like I did to my 650.

Any/All suggestions are welcome, I know this thing is gonna bark. Custom molded ear plugs have been my friend for the last 10 years.

parts were waiting for me when I got home from work, exhaust mods will be later this week. also pulled the limiter caps, greased the tensioner & clutch drum bearing.

gotta stop at the local saw shop to get Husqy parts so I can free up my bench, while I'm there I might order a 361 coil.

361 coil should hopefully be in on Monday. double wrap of sports tape on the handle, single barrel outlet welded & steel riveted the side deflector on. I opened up the stock outlet to about 5/8" square, drilled four 1/4" holes in the top baffle area, & the side outlet is about 1/2" x 3/4" oval.

it sounds pretty damn mean now.

I would do it too if it wasn't for the sound :) not to mention the stuntmen ;-) who run it without earplugs. But it looks nice

I have a pretty good relationship with our city staff including the Superintendent and the guys that actually do the work. last week they took down a dead ash tree just down the block from my house and when I got home from Baraboo yesterday these were waiting.

My little Struck mini dozer is very handy for moving the trailer around in tight quarters. Before I finished getting the first batch cut, split, and loaded they dropped off another load.

Before I got that lot processed they brought more.

They brought one more smaller one after those. My grandson came over to give me a hand loading and unloading the trailer.

There is about 1/2 a trailer load still at the curb down the block.

They are still planning to remove mine as well (you can see the suckers coming from the trunk in some of the photos) as well as two more within a block of my house. I should be set for home heating through 2024 by the time we're done.
