Good job, can’t really tell how much you got. Do you think it was a good return on your investment and time. By the way some things are worth doing just to do or know how. I like your effort just curious I guess.

First, I've always wanted to try making it. Second, about a year ago I bought a large bag of lumped charcoal for just under $40, I thought it went up that much, but now that I think about it, it could have been a pricing mistake. Now, it's back down to $20 a bag (30lbs). What I have in one batch is roughly 30 lbs. I'm starting one more batch, I can probably make 2 batches (60lbs) a week in my free time. I already had the burner and propane tank, so this is pretty much 100% labor. I dropped the tree about a month ago, I have one more oak tree to drop that is mostly dead. So the trees have to disappear somehow.

Ok thanks better than I thought. I agree fun just to do sometimes. Not like you have to baby sit it all the time. Great way to use up downed trees and would work well with leftover fire wood chunks nobody wants.
Thanks

We use a 55 gal drum air tight stove to heat the hunting cabin in the catskills.

First thing you do every time up there is shovel out the ashes. Trouble is, there was often lots of charcoal in those ashes.

We took a 5 gal bucket, cut most of the bottom out, and replaced it with rat wire. That way we shake out the ashes and return the charcoal to the stove.

Filed 3 chains, 2 3/8" and 1 .325".
Also ground 1 3/8" chain, tried two ground loops and touched them up on the grinder afterwards just to make sure they are ready for work.

Slow day, but a pleasant one.

new blades for the 154 showed up, got to try them out this weekend.

this year we've got a few wild turkeys that travel between my parents & the neighbors farms, been seeing this hen pretty frequently, believe she's got a nest back by our woods. I almost mulched up the turtle, saw it last second.

picked up another high rack for the garage yesterday, so I spent majority of the day shuffling stuff around, cleaning up, throwing stuff away & getting reorganized.

Came from work (night shift), waited for Lidl to open and went to buy ice cream cones.
Bought 20$ worth of ice cream and smashed the screen of my 120$ smartphone while getting the ice cream into my car on the parking lot.

The phone/screen still works, but there are sharp edges at the cracked area.
The factory applied "protective screen foil" did nothing to prevent the damage.

Good opportunity to go back to a dumb phone if this phone stops working.

I’m not liking this, but my otter box (knock off ) cover has saved my phone many times. Won’t carry A phone without one. Non smart phone won’t read these posts. Just saying don’t think I would ever go back.

Sorry Wilhelm. I'm not liking that post.

I’m not liking this...
Neither do I! :(

Having been tired from work I forgot to shut the zipper of my phones pouch, I bowed down loading the ice cream into the car and SPLAT!!!!
The phone landed on its face on concrete stones.
I am still pi$$ed at myself!

Otter Box is the way to go. I've dropped my phone 6 feet onto a concrete floor probably 6 times so far with no damage. Heck, I'll even toss my phone across a room just to prove how tough the case is. The phone and case are about 4-4.5 years old and I've yet to damage either.

Thanks for the recommendation, but it's too late for this phone.
