I put some casters on my bench so It would be easier to move around. Now I can get back to cleaning out the garage.:(

Nice vise, I got tired of breaking them and purchased one, brother took the one when stepfather passed. Cheap, about same price as a new 550mk2.

Thanks, I got that one at an estate sale last summer.

Milled a few thin boards today for the inside wall of my garage, to cheap to pay $40 a sheet for plywood, once I get that wall covered I can get my garage door on.

Scored this behemoth. 178 year old fir struck by lightning. 53” on the base. About 155’ tall. About the biggest and oldest fir I’ve seen taken down in this area. There’s a few out there still I’ve seen, and all are plenty healthy still. Time to do some milling! Stihl 880 with a 50” bar hanging on one of the rounds.0FAAA976-2E2B-41E7-BA6D-590A7B166CB0.jpeg85966C58-F7E2-47C6-9917-B2C929F1CD6A.jpeg 2F18A576-DD45-4278-BD60-E363C56C9899.jpegB320B64C-CFF5-45AB-93D4-80F2FDEFEC05.jpeg3A897B84-328A-4D3C-A064-6AC8710BD3D2.jpeg

Got up early, went to breakfast, got the escape serviced, went to Napa and picked up a case of brake cleaner and 2 cases of 10w30 oil for my spring jobs. Did some tinkering in the garage and now I'm relaxing.

yesterday I got the new exhaust setup welded up & painted with VHT header paint. put the new boom cylinders & a couple new hoses on, drained the hydraulic system & put 9 gallons worth of new fluid in.

tonight I fabbed up a new throttle/choke mount, put the new cables on then started tidying up & looming the wiring for the lights & seat safety switch. gonna work on the engine bay wiring tomorrow. after that it's gonna get pressure washed & put to use this week while I'm off.

some reasoning behind that hot rod exhaust, with the huge factory predator single outlet muffler (which I believe has a cat in it) & such a small space it would boil the gas & usually geyser out of the fill cap. so this is attempt number 1 to prevent that.

If it still happens, I have a 6" electric transmission cooler fan I can put in the left side of the engine bay. I may also add some vents to the top cover/panel to help get the heat out. I might(should) make a shroud to cover the tops of the mufflers.

like any skidloader, the engine bay is literally 10lbs of sht in a 5lb bag, lol.
