Well the plans were to slap a bar, chain, and some fuel in my 026 and see how she runs after a trip to Stump Shots house...BUT instead the family & I were dodging Tornado's and Lightning!

I moved wood this morning from my stack to the shed and then finished up wiring and hanging a Mason jar light fixture in the dining room I built out of a slab of milled oak and some old reclaimed barn wood siding for my wife over the last few days

This morning I was able to cut a few more logs off the stack and then spent all afternoon bringing loads of my seasoned wood to the lean-to recently converted into my wood shed during the burning season.

Cleaned up around the house, ate lunch with my wife. Tried to check the transmission fluid level in my 2014 Jeep Cherokee.....I will never own another again.

I had to take the left front wheel off to get to the fill port. After that fiasco, I could get an allen wrench in the plug, but couldn't turn it due to the allen wrench hitting the firewall and a wiring harness when I pulled/pushed on it. The cheap wheel bolts gave me a fit as well. They appear to have a soft steel cap that presses on the bolt that is easily damaged, even installing/removing them with a ratchet, not an airgun. I've always installed them with a torque wrench by the way, and you can feel the cap on all the wheel bolts rock back and forth when you change direction on them.

Chrysler has been using chrome caps on lugs for decades. They have always been a PITA. Using a 6 point socket really helps though. While you’re at the store getting those 6 point sockets grab a set of 3/8 drive hex key sockets for those drain and fill plugs. Don’t go all crazy on expensive tools. You’ll probably do ok with harbor freight stuff.

Chrysler has been using chrome caps on lugs for decades. They have always been a PITA. Using a 6 point socket really helps though. While you’re at the store getting those 6 point sockets grab a set of 3/8 drive hex key sockets for those drain and fill plugs. Don’t go all crazy on expensive tools. You’ll probably do ok with harbor freight stuff.

They aren’t always available that look like the OE ones. I’ve tried for people with various results. Sometimes you can get them and they are exactly the same but other times they will be a different size on the hex. I’d be really bummed if I had a flat and real nice lug nuts but the wrong size lug wrench. [emoji25]

Thanks guys, I've got the 3/8 drive hex key socket and ordered new lug bolts that are machined out of one piece of steel. I should get the lug bolts tomorrow (Thursday)
