It’s a working truck, looks better from a distance
Has a winch on it, which is very handy
Have to add a 70 gallon oil tank somewhere for the end dump I bought.

The end dumps definitely have their place but they seem a bit spooky to me. About 30 years there was farmer here that had one he hauled dirt, gravel, etc with. One day it was sitting the driveway as a twisted mess. The last thing it did was get hauled to Feinburg's metals. I think Mark must have tried dumping in bad spot.

Did a 250 mile cannonball run in the $550 Element for civic parts. Bad traffic, storms, shot wiper linkage, junk motor mounts, two year old oil filter, and energy drinks the whole way. Got an intact bumper on in time for a 50th birthday party IMG_3308.jpegIMG_3309.jpegIMG_3310.jpegIMG_3333.jpegIMG_3334.jpeg

Prepping equipment to go ballistic on some weeds & saplings.

Orange bump button head is OEM and loaded with true square 3.3mm/.130" nylon (yellow).
First time trying this gauge, curious to see how it does.
This head has no problems running 3.0mm/.118" true square line and that line gauge is tough like a dozer.

Green bump button head is a Temu AM head I got gifted.
It is flimsy, came apart with next to no force applied - I have a feeling it will just explode hitting its first sapling.
I loaded this head with true square 2.7mm/.106" nylon (orange), though I doubt this head will survive this gauge line.

I have new OEM heads in my spare stash!
Line of thought is to weed out the undesirables, either the AM head dies today or it lives to see another day.

Though it places a huge load on my generic 1.5kW supermarket weedeater, the 3.3mm/.130" gauge line destroys everything in its way!
Will have to go get more spare spools.

Russian Olive - one of the few “hard” hardwoods that we have here in Wyoming.
That is one we do not have here. This is hardwood country, The only truly native softwood we have is sheit Cedar. There is Pine in the parks and state forests but it is planted Pine. We have Willow and Cottonwood in the bottoms but those are still hardwoods.

We pretty much just have cottonwoods, willows, poplars, a few elms, burr oaks, aspens, birch, apples, and some other various fruit trees for hardwoods. But the mountains are loaded with softwoods, and everyone here burns pine for heat.
