My 2012 focus stopped dead in its tracks on my way to do a job for a buddy. He ended up having to come trailer me to his shop. After some testing we figured it was something to do with ignition. Couldn't find the relay/fuse in the box. Come to find out there is a hidden fuse panel under the glove box. Well...
A mouse made a nest in my glove box and decided to chew some wires which blew the ignition fuse. New fuse got me home(hour and a half away). Now to figure out the wiring issues :(

Nice truck! Love me an old GM or Ford truck
Thanks. I've had this 87 chevy silverado for 20 years and its been a great truck. I've done a lot of ad ons to it over the years. 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton, 4" lift, rear air bags, front winch and bumper. I really need to take a pic of the box floor. Its rounded down from thowing firewood in it for 20 years.

Went over to the neighbors house and changed the shocks on his F350 for him. Nice people in their late 60s early 70s. He and his wife are selling their home and moving to Arizona....the state I just moved from.
Pumped the new shallow well out today a few times. Used to take about 6 hours to refill now filling in about 4 hours.
Tomorrow I have another neighbor stopping over with his backhoe to dig a pit for the septic/crib.
Good stuff.

Daserlon that is one nice load and one nice truck. They really knew how to build them back then. So easy to work on and dependable as the sunrise.

My first truck was a 79 Silverado short wheelbase FWD. I rebuilt it with new sheet metal and my version of the LT-1 engine. It dyno'd 355 hp and 410 ft-lb torque. I sold it (like an idiot) when I get my current one and not a week goes by that I don't regret it even though I do love the one I own.

Your post brought back some cool memories.

Will

Worked on this freebie a buddy gave me. Needed 2 screws for the air filter housing. Runs good after soaking the carb and a few sprays of ether, starts hard after sitting a few days though. New carb is $30ish, it's splastic one. Might should order one

I had to replace a spindle on my mower deck today. I was busy so my wife picked it up at the local mower shop. I get home and attempted for 5 minutes to get the bolt started in the spindle foot to attach it to the deck. Starting to get pizzed thinking it’s the shakes in my hands from the stroke so I stepped back to calm down and happened to look at the spindle foot. OEM Husqvarna. Notice something missing for the bolt to attach to?
I've seen a few spindle like that.

Good of a place as any for my first post. Took the kids to the swimming hole. View attachment 187555 View attachment 187555 View attachment 187556

I noticed when I bought the replacements for mine that some were threaded and some had self tapping screws. I bought the threaded ones for mine. Is that the situation you encountered?
