Hi Guys
Well ive picked up this saw shindaiwa chainsaw 757 , haven't got it yet, it runs but needs a couple of things replaced on it
so will no more when it arrives
Ive noticed there not a lot of info on these saws , like many others saws do have
I will be posting up on the build of the saw so no doubt I will have Questions
any help and advice would be great
I'm also wanting to use it to do a bit of slabbing for my benches in the shed

I've had two of them and currently have a third awaiting a full rebuild. They're torquey saws that make their peak power at a lower RPM than other modern saws (which is common for two-strokes coming out of Japan).

The 757 is a tough, torquey saw. It has a grotesque and capable air filter, and ample cooling. It will suit you well for light milling duties.

In the USA, early saws had adjustable carbs, later models did not.

I believe that the 757 is still sold new in OZ.

The one I currently have is a standard D009 mount, but the tensionser pin is smaller, the same size as a Stihl tension pin instead of the larger Husqvarna size.
