Looks good considering the atop is designed for 3/8 chain.
Well now you know it works on .325... you can fank me later.

This thing run yet?Well now you know it works on .325... you can fank me later.
Thats good to hear. Its Its funny but I felt less confident about my angles as I went. I'll keep practicing, I just bought a 25' roll of square skip 3/8s.Pretty durable angles on your top and side plate. That chain will cut well for awhile.
How do I get more angle on that? That is the one part I was wondering about.Very hard to tell from your pics but your side plate looks near 90* to top which is “ok” but a few forward * lean is more desirable.
Roll your non cutting side of file down. How do I get more angle on that? That is the one part I was wondering about.

Blah blah grinder blah blahOr just dress the wheel... and stuff...
I ground a .325 chain today.. nothing cuts smoother than a .325 that’s been square ground..
Meh ...... you’ll prolly have a better outlook after you run thisIt seems like this filing technique is at or beyond the point of diminishing returns and the gains that are achieved are noticed by someone that uses a saw every day.

It don’t have to be right to work...I don't have a grinder .
I have to teach employees how to round file in the field so I thought I might have a go at square filing. It might take me some practice to get it right but what the hell is anyone doing with life lately anyway?

Just sharp..
Right makes it better, but sharp cuts wood.
Beak lives matter....Not always true, there’s sharp with a working corner above the tooth corner and a sharp with a beak that doesn’t last.

Agreed Clint !Good looking angles Kevin. Make your wheel thicker so you don’t have to under cut your tooth with a round file. Taking it under your sideplate will rob power. Try keeping it flush
