I got lucky, this piston was still moving. Just got done pulling the jug (yea, I know, I'm up late).
OK experts, tell me what I'm looking for. The piston is fried real good on the exhaust side, but the the intake side looks like nothing is wrong.
The saw is kinda dirty, with a lot of fine grain stuff on it. Was he over working a dull chain? The sprocket looks a little hammered. The B&C don't look bad at all. Came with a 20" ES bar and full chisel chain (I can convert it to square).
Also had a brand new NKG plug in it looked like it had never been fired. All the plastics are good, and the recoil is in great shape.
I also notice that the 440 had the heat shield behind the muffler just like the 460s, but my 044s don't have them. Are they necessary?
