I'd like a 394 length piston with the locating pins location of the 395. This way they could make a 394 and 395 piston with the same casting. Then I'd just make something of the same design for a direct replacement 2100 piston, it would gain a lot of performance with just a piston swap.
Pistons are way cheaper to make than cylinder kits.

I've been talking to someone about making a 56mm piston. It was going to be single ring.

You have to have a piston for a cylinder kit anyway so it's a good first step. I'd be happy to consult with you and Cross on anything you guys decide to produce.

Seriously though, I do have a fair bit of 288 bones, I could start building a bottom end pert near any time to do some R&D testing. Also have a fair bit of 272's and could probably scratch together a 372 as well.

I say 372 kit next too.
But not for an all out hot rod just a bump in power and keep in mind the lower ends are weak.
comp in the 165-175 range and almost stock porting other wise 100 122 78.
I know mike has talked about a lighter piston for relief on the bottom.
maybe the old Wayne trick of a double tapered stihl wrist pin.

Pretty much the same plan on these 661 jugs. Stock port widths. Close to stock numbers, and a small bump in compression.
