I had a question about your lathe setup Randy, but now i cant see all of the pic and i forgetted.
The filter is better media and won't let anything past them. If you're milling I would say it's worth it. Firewood I don't know so.Besides the saw looking like a space ship, do you notice any difference in one of your saws with a HD filter vs stock filter?

Count me in....of course some of us will need to be dropped off at a lower floor than you guys.
The 104 saws I can get away with a shorter blowdown. And as the exhaust height goes up to me anyway seems like you need more blowdown. Once you hit the 100° mark an unlimited coil is nice as they like to bounce of the rev limiter. Lol.I like a higher exhaust than you do. I go for 30° of blowdown. I go 96-98 in most. I did a few at 100-102. They ran ok but were slower than the higher exhaust saws. The 96 exhaust will still pull a 28" bar easily.
Dam limiters. Hopefully Bruce gets us hooked up shortly! I liked how the Mutt ran. Awesome job on it. I would like to run it with a 28" bar. I ran it with a 20" and a square chain IIRC.I don't think I've sent one out with the exhaust at 102°. I tore it apart and put it at 98 or 100. They will be on the limiter in small wood or when you lighten the load a tiny bit.
I've built 2 more Just like it now. They're fun to run like that. He ran it with a 28" somewhere.Dam limiters. Hopefully Bruce gets us hooked up shortly! I liked how the Mutt ran. Awesome job on it. I would like to run it with a 28" bar. I ran it with a 20" and a square chain IIRC.
Take this ×2. With rush delivery. Lol.I need a dozen coils.
BRUCE !!!!!!!!!!
I have always been a fan of yours, and very much enjoyed your posts, work and videos. You build Em and see the insides and outs. How do you Tate the 7900 As a saw? I'm curious because I've eyeballs them awhile.Mike Lee is known for building a stout 7900. I'm still learning them.......but I've build some that pinned my ears back.
I'll share my way, and hope Mike Lee, and Carl Miller will be along to share some of their ideas.
This is a saw I did a few weeks ago.....
Oh........where did that come from. That ain't a Dolmar.
Thanks buddy. Saw a few here in a rental fleet awhile back looked well built. I have kinda wanted a 9010 for awhile.I like them a lot Norm. They are different than either a Stihl or a Husky though. You need to find someone that has one and get some trigger time.
