So what did I miss? I know I missed something big with Kenny, hes gone or at least I cant find his profile and he isnt posting, and apparently there is now a pissing match going on with some youtube famous saw builders. Between working 50 hours a week building boats and cutting every weekend I dont have much time to waste on internet pissing matches. I usually watch some of the you tube guys to learn new techniques or for entertainment purposes (mostly Guilty of Treeson) but Im morw of a saw runner than a saw builder so I dont get into that side of it much.

Im the rigging line team leader for Malibu Boats. Heres a couple pictures from the line and putting a 22 LSV through its paces out on the river.

Yep, we only offer one model of center engine direct drive now. The rest are V drives. Big engine is a Chevy LT4 that we do the Marine conversion on here at the plant.

Take it those are hydraulic wings on sides are to build wake, along with engine mounted back as far back as possible. Couple people from lake ended up skiing at Cypress Gardens and Sea World. Ski club won Michigan state championship several years. Back in late 60's.

We actually call those surf gates, they manipulate the wake to create a rolling wave that can be surfed just like an endless ocean wave. We use plastic ballast tanks in the stern, center and bow to get more weight as well as a power wedge which creates another 1200 lbs of down force to get the hull deeper and make the wakes bigger. Our 24 and 25' boats displace over 10k lbs fully ballasted.

I've got a 2006 Malibu Response lx ski boat . Very nice boats.
