Last minute Ported big cube saw gtg in Ontario.

My logging buddies and I were out in the bush taking down trees til lunch time today...

One of our small engine shop repair buddy called and said he's ready to test his latest porting recipe at his farm.

We pack up, grabbed Tim Hortons coffees and hauled over to the farm.

They have the loader tractor with log set up to go.

Saws we used:

4 jonsered 2188 all with different recipes by the shop guy.
1 661 stock, another a mastermind.
1 660 stock with dual port muffler, 2 mastermind 660's (one is my own), and 1 660 with head chopped off and custom dome made.

The resistance, 22" inches of hard maple...

After all was said and done, my mastermind 660 was the winner.

One of the Johnny red recipes was right behind at second place in timed cuts. Not by much.....

The custom head 660 was the guy's first shot at fully modified saws. He did ok. More comparable to stock 660 at the moment...

The shop guy was pleased, he learned a lot at what recipe works and doesn't.
